“WHY DAPO ABIODUN SHOULD NOT BE ALOWED TO GOVERN OGUN STATE”

By Adisa Olowoporoku
The office of the governor is an office that must be occupied by people with impeccable character; men or women of unquestionable antecedents and people who can stand with their shoulders held high before the antigraft agencies.
It is a pity that Dapo Abiodun, who is a governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State does not belong to this category of individuals.
There are records pointing to the fact that Dapo Abiodun has soiled his hands; he has dragged his name in the mud and as a result, should not be allowed to govern a standard state like Ogun.
Here, Adisa Olowoporoku takes a look into why Dapo Abiodun should be ‘nipped in the bud’ as early as possible.
I. Currently, EFCC records show that Dapo Abiodun is repaying the Nigerian government monies he stole through the fuel subsidy fraud in 2012. This has been kept from the general public through the intervention of his kinsman, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. We can all visit EFCC office for verifications.
II. As it has been reported, Dapo Abiodun is a serial national economic saboteur, a fraudster and debtor. He is among the 105 debtors released by AMCON recently. Anybody who wants to confirm this should get the full list of the debtors as released by AMCON. We cannot afford to put Ogun treasury in the custody of a man who would spend it to settle personal debts in little or no time.
III. Dapo Abiodun, as a result of insecure debt he owes Skye bank, he jumped from the window of a popular hotel in Abuja and had a fracture in his leg to escape arrest and justice. This is why he limps till date. He did this to evade exposure and divert attention from his crimes. What a clown!
IV. This same Abiodun also stole over 5million litters of petroleum products stored in his company fuel farm by companies such as:
a. Archetype International Ltd – owned by Mr Tunde Ayennro
b. Emadeb Energy – owned by Mr Adebowale Olujimi
c. Dutch-Balt Ltd – owned by Mr Abdul Alao. Anyone in doubt can find out from the above companies owners or visit the EFCC as they have submitted a petition to them but yet to be addressed due to the intervention of the “Presidency via VP Yemi Osinbajo”
Dapo Abiodun, in his deceptive character sold off their products without their knowledge under the pretence of creating space.
The above-mentioned facts are verifiable by anyone who wants to engage in investigative duties.
The good people of Ogun State are hereby enjoined to see beyond their lies and call Dapo Abiodun what he truly is.
Let’s stop Dapo Abiodun before he sells out Ogun State.
