The Egbaland Traditional Council, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria,  now has a new Lisa after 8 years of interregnum.
The immediate past Lisa was the late Chief Adebisi MacGregor, who died 8 years ago.
The Osile of Oke-Ona Egba,  Oba (Dr.) Adedapo Tejuoso, made the presentation to the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo  Okukenu IV last Monday.
Accompanied by Oke-Ona High Chiefs, Oba Tejuoso,  presented the new Lisa, who is also the current Oluwo Idomapa, Chief Olusoji Soyombo as the Oke-Ona consensus candidate for the Lisa of Egbaland
The Alake, while formally welcoming  the new Lisa,  urged the Osile to also resolve the remaining two outstanding Oke-Ona Egba representatives, the Otun and Akogun in the council.
The Alake however told the new Lisa that he would forward his recommendation to the state government for concurrence as the post of Lisa attracted the rank and salary of a second class Oba.
