Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen.Tolu Odebiyi has facilitated the National Identification Number (NIN) registration centre to Ilaro, the political capital of Yewaland.
This is to ease pains and difficulties encountered by prospective candidates for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB) examination and the West African Examinations Council, (WAEC) as regards NIN
The media office of the senator in a statement said the venue, Egbado College in Ilaro, is a public secondary school located at Km, 2, Ilaro-Ibese Road, Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government of Ogun State.
Odebiyi, reiterated his commitment to continually engage the executive in terms of bringing dividends of good governance to Ogun West Senatorial District.
He said that creating the centre in the school was aimed at easing the burdens and stress JAMB and WAEC prospective candidates encounter in the process of getting captured by National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) as part of requirement for JAMB and WAEC registration, and other Constituents who travel long distances to neighbouring towns for NIN registration.
Thanking the Senator for the outstanding contributions to the college, the Principal of Egbado College, Ilaro, Mr. Sunday Adegbemiga Masanwo commended the senator for another landmark feat achieved.
“I want to say a big thank you for the NIN registration centre you brought to Yewa (Egbado) College. Our students are now enjoying the novel facilities. It will enable our Senior Secondary School (SS3) students to register for WAEC and JAMB without stress.
“We will continue to appreciate all your tremendous efforts and impacts in Ogun West Senatorial District in general”.
It should be noted that the Ogun West senator made a request for registration of Yewa Egbado College, Ilaro to the Director General/CEO, National Identity Management Commission on the 16th of September, 2021 via an official letter.
