PRE-TRANSITION BUDGET ASSESSMENT MEANT TO DETERMINE PERFORMANCE -OGUN ASSEMBLY

Ahead of the winding down of the current administration in Ogun, the state House of Assembly began the appraisal of the 2019 Appropriation Law This is  to determine the progress made in all programmes and projects of government by Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government.Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation,  Hon. Victor Fasanya, who made the disclosire while declaring open the exercise at the Assembly Complex,  Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta,  expressed optimism that the exercise would go a long way at assessing the compliance of all government agencies to this year Appropriation Law.Fasanya commended the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led-administration for pursuing vigorously, its five cardinal programmes which had resulted in overwhelming socio-economic development of the State, thereby making it an investment destination of choice.Taking his turn to present the 2019 budget performance of the State Ministry of Information and Strategy, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Peter Fagbohun,  reeled out the achievements of the Ministry in the period under review.He noted that it had devised mechanisms to improve on its mission of adequately keeping the citizenry informed of government activities.Fagbohun, represented by Director of Information (Production Services) in the Ministry, Mr Abiodun Awere, who presented the budget performance, said the ministry through the print, broadcast and online media brought government closer to the people.
