A traditional ruler in Ogun State, Towulade Akinale, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, has advised Baales in his domain and by extension a eligible voters therein to vote  for continuity in the Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.The Oba and veteran journalist,  spoke during the annual get-together party of the league of Baales in Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state.He said the Saturday’s elections are necessary for the continuity,  sustaining and rebuilding of Ogun state infrastructures.The league of traditional rulers  have been meeting in Akinale every first Monday of the month  for over a decadeHe asked the Baales to compare the status of their ancestral home, Abeokuta,  about 10 years ago with what it is now.Oba Ogunleye attributed the transformation of the political headquarters of the Egba to the foresightedness of the outgoing Governor Ibikunle Amosun.While charging them to support Amosun’s succession agenda, he also  charged the Baales to return to their various villages and educate their subjects on the need to encourage continuity of the current development programmes in the state.This the monarch said could be achieved by voting a choice governor that would not abandorm but add more to the rebuilding of the state’s developmental  programmes.Speaking one after the other, the Baales said they would vote for any governor who would focus on their plight in the rural areas by  providing them feeder roads,   water and electricity as well as policy to improve their agricultural productive output.The Baales also assured Oba Ogunleye that they would not shark their responsibilities in ensuring peaceful elections in their areas.
