OGUN: 1, 694, 867 MILLION COLLECTED PVCs

The Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has revealed that a total of 2, 375, 003 million voters, registered in Ogun State for the general election which begins on Saturday.Out of this, 1, 694, 867 voters have collected the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) throught which they will vote, while 680, 136 cards remained uncollected in the state. This represents 71.36 percent of the PVCs in the state, which ranks third among other states in the zone.Lagos State, with 6, 570, 21 registered voters and 5, 531, 389; 1, 038,902, collected and uncollected PVCs respectively, leads in the South West. It is closely trail by Oyo State with 2,934,107; 2,176, 352, 757, 755 as registered, collected and uncollected figures respectively.On the other hand, Ekiti State, records the lowest PVCs statistics in the zone with 909, 967; 666, 591 and 243, 796 as registered voters, collected PVCs and uncollected cards respectively.Ondo came fourth with 1, 822, 346; 1, 478, 460 and 343, 886 as registered voters, collected PVCs and uncollected PVCs respectively.Down the ladder in the ranking in the zone is Osun State with 1, 680, 498; 1, 266, 587 and 413, 911 as registered voters, collected PVCs and uncollected PVCs respectively.In all, 84, 004, 084 Nigerians registered for the general election, out of which 72, 775, 502 collected the PVCs and 11, 228, 582 remained uncollected throughout the countey
