It was a new dawn in Ijeja area of Abeokuta South Local,Government Area, of Ogun State as Chief Mukaila Atanda Akimwande was presented as new Oluwo of the Egba township to the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu IV.
The presentation was done by the Odofin Ijeja, Chief Sunday Oluwole in the presence of other Ijeja chiefs like the Balogun, Chief Olufemi Solanke, Osi Balogun, Chief Sunday Onifade, Eekerin, Chief Olawale Sodipo, Baaloye, Chief Oluuinka Ogunsola.
Among others, who witnessed the ceremony, which held at the Ake palace were Baada, Chief Omoboriowo Oduntan, Bashorun, Chief Folorunsho Bodunrin, Agbaakin , Chief Seyi Odebiyi and Asawo Chief Sope Egunleye, wife of the new Oluwo among others.


Speaking, during the ceremony, Oba Gbadebo expressed delight at the choice of Oluwo Akinwande and appealed to the Ijeja community to support him in the running of the affairs of the, community.
The eminent monarch , who prayed and blessed the new Oluwo also wished that Ijeja would witness rapid developmemt during his reign,
Oluwo Akinwande, who succeeded the late Oluwo Ogunsola, pledged that he would promote unity and love among people in his community as well as be obedient and loyal to the paramount ruler.
Meanwhile, sons and daughters of Ijeja, popularly called “Omo Olore” have started congratulating the new Oluwo.
While praying for his long live and reign, they also described his choice as the best.New dawn in Ijeja, as Alake blesses Chief Akinwande as new Oluwo!
