Ogun NUJ Ronu!

…. Now that we lost Soji Amosu

Share

We have never had it so devastating in Ogun State Council of NUJ!

From Gbenga Davies to Funsho Lawanson navigating ‘Omo-Ola’ Kolade Larewaju and Diji Akinhanmi to Adewale
Aderinale ditto Seyi Edunjobi and now Soji Amosun.

It has been a sour taste of one death too many within a short spate of time.

I wouldn’t want to hang the hook of the painful exit of our beloved members on the noose of protracted crisis that has been rocking our council.

However, it should be a challenge to
every feuding faction and patriotic members to mount and ride on the rough edges of the ugly crest of incessant death and in particular,
the sudden demise of one of the commited leaders of our council who just breathed his last, Com. Soji Amosu to sheath their swords and return ‘Iwe Irohin’ Press Centre to the path of peace and progress.

Shame betides us if after paying our last respect to Soji Amosu painfully on Friday God willing and we still go back to our vomit with the attendant offensive odour of unhealthy rivalry and ego-diving muscle flexing by resorting to disrespecting him.

The lost aforementioned ones, the set of journalists whose epitaph is imposing at Iwe Irohin Press Centre, our former leaders including the late Tunde Oladepo, Deji Odunlami,Chief Soniran Sowemimo (SOS) and commited members like Doyin Fadu (NAN),Toba Suleiman (This Day),Lanre Sorunke (Concord), Mr.Aileru (New Nigeria), Egbon Dada Ogundele (Daddy Cool, Paramount FM late GM) and Funsho Lawanson of OGBC.

May I humbly plead with our elders and veterans in Ogun Council of NUJ to kindly after the mourning of Com.Amosu call a peace meeting that will calm frayed nerves and restore the normalcy of harmony and progress..

My appeal for intervention goes to and it’s not limited to the following veterans:

  • Chief Lai Labode
    +Mr.Eddy Aina.
    +Mr.Demola Oladosu
    +Barr.Demola Badejo.
    +Deaconess..Doyin Ogunbiyi
    +Mrs.Yetunde Kujore
    +Prince Toyin Gbadebo(Egbon Gbade).
    +Mr.Ayinde Soaga
    +Mr.Kunle Thomas(KT).
    +Mr.Tunde Kazeem(GM OGTV)
    +Mr.Busayo Olaifa
    +Mrs.Toyin Sogbesan(GM OGBC)
    +Mrs.Funmi Wakama( GM NTA,Abeokuta).
    +Mr.Gbenga Gbesan(G.G.)
    +Mr.Festus Kehinde(immediate Past GM OGTV)
+Dr.Yemisi Bamgbose and other senior citizens of Ogun NUJ.

Having nurtured the council to this enviable height, they wouldn’t want their toil and sweat to dissapear into the abyss of the dust-bin of crisis spurred by myopically unbridled shenanigans of ignominious internal crisis, which is ill-informed and uncalled for.
