Sheikh Iskeel Mohammed Lawal (a.k.a. Alhaji Sugar), will tomorrow make history, as he will be installed the third Wakeelul – Muslimeen of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta!
His installation is billed to hold during an epoch making event at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Alhaji Sugar, who is also the founder of Kunfayakun Asalatu Organisation, also holds among other Muslim titles, the Wakeelul – Muslimeen of Egbaland and Wakeelul – Muslimeen of Ogun State
The youngest Wakeelul Muslimeen of Yorubaland so far and the second from Egbaland will succeed the late Sheik Salaudeen Abdul Rasazq, the immediate past Chief Imam of Ijebu Ode.
The first Islamic cleric to hold the title was the late Chief Imam of Gbagura-Egba, Sheik Sadrudeen Bamidele Biobaku.
His successor was Sheik Salaudeen Abdul Rasazq, the immediate past Chief Imam of Ijebu Ode.
