GROUPS, INDIVIDUALS, LAUD APPOINTMENT OF BISIRIYU AS NEW OGUN HoS

Groups and individuals among them, retired and serving public administrators, community leaders as well as other professionals and associates have hailed the appointment of Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu, as the new Head of Service. (HoS).
They described the appointment by Governor Ibikunle Amosun, as a round peg in a round hole that will further revamp the state public service for more optimum performance.
Among them were representatives of the Body of Permanent Secretaries in the state, Mrs Amope Chokor, Nigeria Institute of Management, (Chartered) and a former Permanent Secretary, Mrs Olayinka Kukoyi, Abeokuta Club 1904, Alhaji Nurudeen Oyedeji,
Others, who spoke during a reception organised in honour of the new HoS at the Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, were the Spouses of Ogun State Functionaries Association, Mrs Olugbebi Badejoko, Head of Information in the State House of Assembly, Lawal Jamiu among others.
They lauded Amosun for the appointment describing it as a recognition of quality leadership, efficiency and quality service delivery.
According to them, the new HoS remained a seasoned civil servant, who would justify the confidence reposed in him in the new office through strategic policy planning and implementation.
While urging the new HoS to work harder to sustain the record that earned him the appointment, they posited that the state remained a pacesetter in the promotion of excellence in public service.
This, they noticed had reflected in the credible and people-oriented governance of the current administration.
They expressed optimism that Bisiriyu was capable of injecting fresh ideas through vibrancy, professionalism and discipline that would make the state retain its enviable position in the comity of states.
The state they reasoned, having been recognised for her efficiency, effectiveness, innovation and creativity in the public service.
In his speech, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.Suraju Ishola Adekunbi, acknowledged the managerial skills and administrative acumen of the new HoS while he served as Clerk of the Assembly.
He underscored the strategic role played by the civil service in achieving the success of the rebuilding mission.
Adekunbi, represented by a member representing Abeokuta North State Constituency, Hon. Olayiwola Ojodu, lauded Governor Amosun for the choice of Bisiriyu, whom he described as a seasoned administrator with capability of steering the ship of the State public service.
Responding, the new HoS, thanked Governor Amosun for the opportunity to serve in the esteem office of the HoS.
Bisiriyu, said the appointment was another opportunity to contribute to the progress of the state through policy initiatives for the growth and development.
He assured that the public service, under leadership would further be rejuvenated for efficient and effective implementation of government policies and programmes.
