Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun has announced the burial activities of his late father, Pa Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun.
In a statement by Abiodun’s press secretary, Kunle Somorin the funeral rites will hold from Monday, September 6 to Thursday, September, 9, 2021 in Iperu-Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area of the state.
The governor on behalf of the family expressed appreciation for the outpouring of love and emotions that have greeted the death of their father.
“We are grateful to political leaders, royal fathers, community leaders, service chiefs, business executives, unionists, civil servants, public officials, students of the late educationist, student leaders, religious communities, women groups as well as politicians across political parties for their calls, condolences visits and avalanche of soothing words, encomiums and kind remarks on the life and times of our patriarch”, Abiodun said.
The family requests friends, associates and well-wishers to continue to remember them in prayers as the burial plans are finalised.
Abiodun was also quoted as saying that he would be available to personally receive condolence visits at the family house in Iperu on weekends.
Meanwhile, Abiodun’s predecessor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun visited the family’s house in Iperu earlier in the day.
During the surprise visit, Amosun, who signed the condolence register, also prayed for the reposed soul of Abiodun’s father.
