2019: APM adopts Buhari as presidential candidate

Allied People’s Movement (APM, in Ogun State has adopted President Muhammadu Buhari as its  presidential candidate.
The party’s governorship candidate, Abdul-Kabir Adekunle Akinlade, also received the flag of the party.The event held at the Main Bowl of M. K. O Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, was attended by party supporters across the state.Governor Amosun  who is believed to be the financer of the party, was conspicously absent.

The national chairman of the party, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, , while addressing supporters of the party, said the event was to demonstrate the stand of the governor’s loyalists against perceived  injusticeDantalle, who handed over Buhari’s APM flag to Akinlade for onward transmission to the president, said APM is the party to beat in Ogun come 2019.Akinlade, said he decided to pursue his governorship ambition under APM inorder to stand against what he descrined as  political hegemony, which was out to truncate political development of the state.
